Robot Cake with Rotating Head & Robot Noises

Watching the delight on the three year old boy's face when he saw his birthday cake really made my day, he was so excited and couldn't stop laughing and wanting to stand as close to it as possible. You could literally see his eyes light up.

This has to be one of my favourite cakes I've made - the fact that the head rotates and makes robot noises really adds to it - you can watch a video of it below.

80's Retro Cake

We had a full on 80's playlist in the background whilst making this three tier 80's cake - creativity at it's best.

Encompassing various iconic logos and memories from this decade with a few retro sweets thrown in for good measure.

The highlight of the cake for me was the top tier - underneath the Rubik's cube exterior the cake was cubed in the various colours of the original Rubik's cube. Now that's attention to detail, right?!

Money Cake

We loved the theme of this cake for an 18th Birthday - money!

Piles of 'cash' were made out of cake then topped with edible £20 notes. Clean, simple and to the point!

Rambling on

This cake was for a local walker's group who were celebrating their 40th anniversary of their Wednesday Walks.

The wall was made of fondant "stones" and they were a real hit -  everybody wanted a little piece of wall with their slice.

Tropical the island breeze...

Airbrushing seems to be the latest thing in cake decorating. It's incredibly versatile and there are so many effects and styles you can use it for.

Our pineapple & coconut Tropical Island Sunset cake is one of our latest cakes to leave the bakery.

Spongebob Squarepants

We had a lovely message this morning letting us know that the Spongebob cake we created for a little girl's 7th birthday went down really well.

Spongebob was a double layered chocolate cake with a sugarpaste Patrick Star to keep him company.

Harry Potter Cake

I've been excited about making this cake for weeks. As a fan of the Harry Potter books it was great to have the opportunity to tie in the theme with a cake.

It's always lovely to get feedback from my cakes, the 8 year old girl this was for told me that I am "literally amazing" - completely made my day!

Code Red

There seems to be a red theme going on with my cake orders at the moment.

customer "it's for a man."
customer "he likes cars."
customer "sports cars in particular."
crazy moose "how about a Ferrari badge cake?"
customer "perfect!"

Saturday's birthday girl was a bus driver so it was only right that she got a double decker bus cake - complete with digital blind with a scrolling birthday message.
